🌿 Before You Light It

  • Trim your wick to ¼ inch (about 5 mm) before each burn — this helps prevent soot and uneven flames.
  • Make sure your candle is placed on a heat-resistant surface, away from curtains or flammable items.
  • Avoid drafts or air currents, which can cause uneven burning or flickering flames.
  • On your first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the glass. This helps prevent “tunneling” and ensures an even burn.

🔥 While It’s Burning

  • Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Always keep the flame within sight — never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable products.
  • If your candle flickers or smokes, carefully extinguish it, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight.

💛 After You Blow It Out

  • Allow the wax to cool completely before moving or touching the jar.
  • Clean any soot from the rim using a soft, dry cloth.
  • Before relighting, always trim the wick again to ¼ inch for a clean, steady burn.

Don’t toss your jar — reuse it!

  • Remove leftover wax with warm water and mild soap.
  • Reuse your barro mexicano mugs or glass jars as planters, brush holders, or storage for small items. 🌿
